We originally sent this important e-Invoice compliance announcement in March 2025, and we’re resending it now as a timely reminder to help you stay compliant—especially as the 3rd batch of companies transitions to the IRBM e-Invoice system after July 1st, 2025.
As Malaysia’s IRBM e-Invoice system evolves, it’s critical to ensure you handle your e-Invoice submissions properly during any potential system downtime, disruptions, or service outages. The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) released guidelines (Section 2.5.4.4) in March 2025 to help businesses navigate these situations. Please read on for the key compliance reminders:
🔎 Key Compliance Reminders:
✅ Reattempt Submission Within 72 Hours
If you experience temporary IRBM MyInvois server failures, please reattempt your e-Invoice submission within 72 hours using our solution once the system is restored. This proactive approach helps maintain compliance and ensures timely validation.
✅ Extended Downtime (Over 72 Hours)
If the IRBM MyInvois System is down for more than 72 hours:
• Maintain all supporting documents to demonstrate your e-Invoice compliance efforts.
• Follow IRBM’s Section 2.5.4.4 guidelines, which acknowledge such disruptions and allow for case-by-case evaluations.
• No Credit Note (CN) is required for transmission failures caused by IRBM server/system issues.
✅ Proper Documentation is Critical
Keep detailed records of all submission attempts and any system-related errors. This documentation is essential if IRBM requests proof of your compliance efforts.
